(Mentor) - Cleveland Indians relief pitcher Nick Hagadone visited kids in Lake County to talk about his life as a professional baseball player.

The lefty from Sandpoint, Idaho spent time with children at Brentmoor Elementary School. Youngsters asked a variety of questions about his work schedule, favorite foods, and his time in college.

Hagadone gave each child an autographed Indians rally cap. The visit was part of an auction held by the Indians Wives Association which has raised $20,000 for charity this season.

Hagadone was accompanied by his wife Pesarakphorn and young daughter Haley.

Principal Pam Hutto says she wanted to demonstrate to her students the value of community and the benefits of working together to achieve success.
