Slash, Sunday July 20th at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park!
Guitar virtuoso Slash has just announced the forthcoming release of his new album. Slash, along with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have just finished touring in support of their critically acclaimed album “Apocalyptic Love,” and Slash, ever the innovator, could not even wait for the tour to be over to get back into the studio. Slash knows the chemistry that he and Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have. This has resulted in a so much material being produced for his new album, due in 2014, that even Slash is finding it hard to choose what to include. He describes the process of writing the new album as “seamless.”
On stage, Slash takes his guitar playing from legend to legendary. Whether in Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver or Slash and Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, he makes every concert experience unique. Always the innovator, Slash knows that great guitarists want to make the audience feel every note, and time and again, Slash delivers. On his most recent tour, he “served up a sonic reminder that he’s always been far more about the audio than the visual,” and that he “had the sold-out audience eating out of the palm of his hand.” Slash is a guitarist for the ages. He doesn’t just get down and dirty. He gets down to business, gets down to basics and basically, tears the roof off while he tears up and down the fretboard of his signature Les Paul guitar. Tickets to a Slash concert are more than simply tickets to a hard rock concert. They are a glimpse into a no frills, no nonsense, all-in show of what hard work, innovation, skill and technique can do when one man and a band bring everything they have for an audience, all night, every night. Slash. A man who loves his music and loves his guitar, but in those moments when he’s on that stage, you know he loves the audience even more. Given his 147 stop, 40 country tour in 2012 and 2013, one can only wonder what 2014 will bring.
