(TEMPE, Ariz.) -- It didn't feel like a typical Cactus League exhibition game on Sunday afternoon when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim edged the Cleveland Indians 5-2 at Tempe Diablo Stadium.
Offense was at a premium after the first few innings. Tribe right-hander Zach McAllister got the start going six innings, allowing three runs on six hits.
The Angels received offensive contributions from Josh Hamilton who went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Ian Stewart ripped a solo-home run in the victory. Albert Pujols went 2-for-2 on the day with a triple.
After the Angels scored two runs in the first inning, McAllister settled in the final five innings.
Indians prospect David Cooper had an RBI-single for Cleveland.
The loss dropped the Indians Cactus League record to 16-7-2 on the spring.
McAllister is slated to be the Tribe's No. 3 starter behind Justin Masterson and Corey Kluber.
