(New York) - Two Cleveland Browns stars will appear today on NFL Rush Zone - Season of the Guardians.
The animated series airs new episodes regularly Fridays at 9:00 PM ET on Nicktoons. It is co-produced by Nickelodeon and the NFL.
It is the first-ever original half-hour animated series jointly developed by a cable network and major U.S sports league
Tonight's episode stars the legendary Jim Brown, and current Cleveland Browns player Josh Cribbs.
On the show, the undefeated Steelers Youth Tackle Football champs are coming to Canton to play the Bulldogs. All the kids are nervous, except for Marty, who shows how a positive attitude can save the day, especially when Brown and Cribbs inspire the group.
Marty's can-do spirit and quick thinking earns him a spot as the newest Guardian.
This is the second installment of the Nicktoons series, and is based on the NFL’s online world for kids.
It follows Ish and friends from his youth tackle football league on a journey to protect the league’s 32 teams and the world from a plotting master villain, Wild Card, and his wingman, Drop Kick, who are targeting the NFL teams’ Megacores – the essence of each team, its fans and its community – and the Core itself.
Throughout the series, viewers will watch NFL players, coaches and legends voicing their animated personas. All 32 teams are showcased throughout the season.
Episodes re-air Saturdays at 7:00 AM on NFL Network and are accessible on Nicktoons.com and NFLRUSH.com.
