As the Browns enter the team’s final week of training camp the teams wounded list is shrinking daily. Here are a few notes from my observations.

 - The Browns injured crew has dropped to 11 players, with Dimitri Patterson, Trent Richardson, Carlton Mitchell, Usama Young, Chris Gocong, Emamauel Acho, Scott Paxson, Oneil Cousins, Juqua Parker, Phil Taylor, and Scott Fujita on the list.

 - The guys that returned to practice where D’Qwell Jackson, Jordan Cameron, Benjamin Watson, Travis Benjamin, and Frostee Rucker.

 - Jackson made his presence known in the teams’ 2 minute drill as he had a virtual sack on 1st and ten, then knocking down a pass on 4th down to end the drive for the number 1 offense after just 4 plays.

- Coach Shurmur refused to name his backup quarterback as he sees no reason to rush into a decision “I don’t see a real urgency right now to settle that. Everybody’s out there working hard.

Week one, it will pretty much be unveiled who’s two and who’s three. I don’t necessarily see the drama in it quite frankly. They’re working through it.”

-Shurmur plans on playing his on starters about a half this Friday against the Eagles. The one thing he liked about last week’s game was the work his offense received,

“It worked out for the offense that we had 40 plays by halftime, which is unique for a preseason game. That was really good work.

We got a half of football in 40 plays. You can’t always count on that, so we’re going to have to reserve the ability to change that plan.”
