Last week we told you that former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler was headed back to rehab, forcing the postponement of his new band’s touring plans. But now Adler’s released a statement saying he's confident he can win his struggle against addiction.

He says: "I picked up a bottle and drank. This occurred a few times – and that's a few times too many. I knew that this had to permanently stop. That is the moment I picked up the phone, before it got out of hand, to get help. I had kicked hard drugs several years ago and now it is time to get rid of the urges of drinking alcohol. I am at a great facility and will stay here until I am comfortable to be home to work the program on my own."
 And somewhere Axl Rose is breathing a sigh of relief that he decided not to reunite with Adler and the rest of the original GNR.

As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis was arrested on Tuesday and stands accused of trying to hire someone to kill his estranged wife, according to the NBC affiliate in San Diego, Ca.

Lambesis was arrested after he allegedly asked an undercover detective to murder his estranged wife and was charged with solicitation of another to commit murder.

San Diego County Sheriff's Department told NBC that Lambesis was arrested at a business in Oceanside, Ca without incident.

Police reportedly began their investigation last Thursday after they were tipped off that the singer was purportedly attempting to solicit someone to murder his wife.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department said "the information came to us late last week. We acted quickly on it. I believe that we averted a great tragedy."
