I'm kind of a cynical, miserable old bastard. Natually, I was kinda pissed when I was young and all I wanted to do was watch "Perfect Strangers" or somesuch nonsense and they cut in to yank Baby Jessica out of some hole. Plus, by the time they fished her out, Balki was all-kinds of over.
Thus began a lifelong one-sided feud (which has sort of become my calling-card) with Baby Jessica. That's another story for another day, or perhaps another story for therapy or a clergy member?
Anyhow, I just saw the footage for the first time since 1987 and I guess it is kind of powerful. It also screwed me up, but good, in my adult life (again, one for the therapist...) but it got me thinking about how many different instances exist of TV building lifelong reactions.
Which TV moments stick out clearly in your mind?
