The cable provider and Raycom in a battle over transmission fees which has led to a blackout

(Cleveland) - Fans of The Big Bang Theory and other CBS shows, who are hungry for a new episode, will not be satisfied, tonight, if they subscribe to Cox Cable.

Cox has been unable to carry the programming from CBS affiliate, WOIO, and MYNetworkTV affiliate, WUAB, since the start of the New Year.

There's an audio loop of classical guitar music and a message about the dispute over transmission fees with Raycom, on both channels.  The company's proposed price increase is about 2 cents per day per household, which a Cox statement says is "exorbitant."

The Raycom blackout affects about 65,000 households, in the Cleveland area, and also customers in four other states.
