Larry McGowan suspected in sexual assaults and murder.

(Cleveland) - The Cleveland Division of Police, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has announced the arrest of Larry McGowan, a suspect in four Cleveland cold cases.

McGowan was arrested in November, 2012, by Akron Police on a rape charge. DNA collected from McGowan matched DNA samples in evidence on the Cleveland rape cases.

McGowan is accused of raping a woman 17 years ago, as well as sexually assaulting and killing 41-year-old Maxine Pratt in 1997.

In December of 2010, he's believed to have raped an 18-old-year old woman who was leaving an RTA rapid station.

All of the attacks are said to have occurred on the southeast side of town.

McGowan is currently being held in the Summit County Jail.
