Mayor says he has full confidence in police chief and safety director.

(Cleveland) - Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson says the report by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is just one piece of the city's internal investigation of November's deadly police chase and shooting.

Chief Mike McGrath says Cleveland does not have jurisdiction to determine if deadly use of force was warranted. He says that's up to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

McGrath says that even though the BCI report is done, Cleveland's investigation is not.

McGrath says he cannot predict the outcome of their review. He also will not comment on officer's conduct at this point.

McGrath did say if officers or supervisors did not comply with protocol, they will be held accountable. But he says Cleveland protocols are stronger than the national standards.

Jackson says he has full confidence in Chief McGrath and Safety Director Martin Flask. He says their jobs are not in jeopardy.
