(Parma) – A fire broke out at a home on Maysday Avenue at 1:30 this morning, chasing a family of three from the house.

A mom and her two sons made it out of the house after flames erupted but firefighters report one of the sons jumped from the roof to escape. They say he will be OK. Two family dogs were not so lucky, they could not be saved.

Investigators say there were no working smoke detectors inside the home. The cause of the blaze is not known. Damage is estimated at $60,000.
