Re-opening date has not been scheduled.
(Cleveland) - Cleveland is continuing its efforts to restore the West Side Market to full operation after the January 30 fire.
The city says the clean up by RestoreX is nearing completion, but the Market House remains closed until further notice. The Produce Building (which is separate from the Market House) has been open since February 1.
Public Works is working with several city departments and divisions, including Building & Housing, Public Health and Cleveland Fire, to insure all inspections and requirements are met.
Public Works will notify market vendors of next steps, including final cleaning and inspections.
An initial inspection was conducted Friday by the Cleveland Department of Health, but final inspections have not yet taken place. That will be scheduled once the cleaning is complete on the main market floor and the basement.
Cleveland Fire’s investigation is still open.
