Convicted commissioner moved to federal pen.

(Cleveland) - Former Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora has been transferred to a federal prison.

Dimora is now being held at Federal Correctional Institution Gilmer in Glenville, West Virginia. It is located 150 miles from Pittsburgh. That's where Dimora will serve out his sentence until it ends on July 28th, 2036.

Federal Correctional Institution Gilmer

Gilmer is a medium-security facility for male inmates. Security is so low, that on August 28, 2010, drug convict Harvey Brewer escaped by just walking away.

Brewer was only discovered after a head count, and prison staff waited 30 minutes before contracting police. Brewer was caught trying to get back into the prison.

The incident raised serious questions about security procedures at Gilmer.
