New contract with employees could land facility engine work.

(Brook Park) - A new product could likely be earmarked for the Ford plant in Brook Park, this after UAW workers approved a new contract Monday.

The company is expected to make an annoucement about Brook Park Ford Thursday and it's speculated a new 2-litre, four cylinder Eco-Boost engine could be built there.

Local UAW 1250 president Mike Gamella says employment could hit 1,800 within a few years at the plant, up from 1,065 currently.
