Good Samaritan breaks up kidnapping attempt

Cleveland Police looking for help finding suspect

(Cleveland) - Cleveland Police are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect and suspect vehicle in an attempted kidnapping.

On Monday, February 18, at 11:55 p.m., police say a black male attempted to kidnap a female from the parking lot of 3778 W. 117th Street as she was getting into her vehicle.

A good Samaritan observed the attempted kidnapping and scared off the suspect.

The suspect then fled the scene in silver ford minivan, seen in these pictures.  A red arrow identifies the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male 30s, facial hair, 6’ 200lbs., wearing a black hat, green quilted jacket and blue pants.

Anyone with information as to the identification or whereabouts of the suspect or suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-5725.
