Oberlin College handled the incident on Monday by cancelling all classes and Dean of Liberal Studies Sean Decatur says several programs teaching about diversity were held on campus "as an educational institution we need to recognize that learning happens both inside and outside the classroom".
Decatur says this is a reminder that Oberlin is a part of the larger world, and they are not excluded from prejudice. Oberlin College they pride themselves as a diverse learning institution with acceptance for everyone.
