(Cleveland) - An ex-politician caught up in the Cuyahoga County corruption sweep is asking for leniency.

Sabra Pierce Scott

Former Ward 8 Councilwoman Sabra Pierce Scott is to be sentenced on Wednesday, but the 54 year old ex-lawmaker will ask U.S. District Judge Christopher Boyko for probation instead of prison time.

Scott pleaded guilty in 2011, to taking a $2,000 bribe from an electrical contractor while a Cleveland councilperson. She could get 8 to 14 months in prison.
