(Cleveland) - On Monday night the City Law Department ruled that despite his third D.U.I. arrest on March 5th, Zack Reed will remain on Cleveland City Council.
The Law Department said council does not have the power to remove a member for personal misconduct.
It's not known whether Council President Marty Sweeney would have had the 13 votes needed to remove Reed from coucil.
Sweeney has however removed Reed from several of the committees he was serving on; the Legislation Committee, Health and Human Services, Public Parks, Recreation and Properties. Get breaking news sent to your mobile phone.Text "news" to 21095.
